We offer a comprehensive range of services aimed at promoting environmental stewardship and sustainable practices. Plastic Free Laos Label is a certification scheme under Econox Laos that provides businesses with training, assistance, and audit for the green business to reduce the use of single-use plastic achieving the goal and receiving recognition from the SME Service Center, Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry. From Laundry to Legacy to Reduce Microplastics is a project aiming to help businesses under the Plastic Free Laos Label to reduce the microplastic pollution from their operation and services. Our initiative builds upon the strong foundation of Plastic Free Laos. To address this challenge, we're conducting studies to examine the types and quantity of microplastics from laundry activities, and developing a filter device specifically designed to capture microplastics before they enter sewage systems.
This innovative filter will be piloted with our Plastic Free Laos members. Following a successful pilot, we envision the device becoming a standard practice for eco-friendly businesses. Together with awareness-raising campaigns, both online and offline, we aim to have a well-aware community about the issue.
